Now I don't see you, now I do

It's been long since I posted anything. I still don't have time to think much of topics, though at least today I have time to write. Work is surprisingly letting up nearer the D-day (the calm before the storm?), enough for me to take a breather over the weekend and catch an eye infection. I'd rather catch a movie ("Akeela and the Bee" comes to mind), but I shan't be picky. I think I have proven that the eye is linked to the tongue. I am quite sure I didn't drip eyedrops into the mouth (ahem), but I can taste something bitter after I squirted a drop into my eyes. So for now, I'm off contact lenses. And since my homewear glasses have been banished into the list of outmoded appearance ruiner, I went to work today with facial appearance unchanged but eyesight blurred. Vanity triumphed over vision. I must have appeared arrogant, since I didn't greet or wave at some people I work with on site. Either arrogant, or bumbling, whenever I tried to make a last minute attempt to acknowledge them when they were close enough for me to recognise. Apparently my face is rather un-glasses-friendly, as my shopping trip to find a new glasses frame failed rather flatly. I guess I'll be doing last-minute-"Hi"s for a few more days.

Does that mean that you will be squinting all the way in Tuesday's meetup? ('ω')

You're like me, if for any reason I can't wear contacts out I'll rather do without glasses, unless I'm in my rimless specs.

Hope you get better soon. An eye infection really sucks.

During the daytime, I drive around town in my sunglasses minus my specs.

How's that for vanity?

It's probably liquid passing through the Eustachian tubes.

Akeelah is good. Hasbro must be delighted.

wolvie: so, did you see me squint? ;p vanity beats vision, but nothing beats smooth boardgaming heh

cl: thanks. think it's better now.

henry: well, we know we are competing against malaysia, but we don't really need one fewer top player from your side...

sh: thought about that, but eustachian is ear to pharynx, no? not eye.

Ah yes you are right.

But I think there is some connection from the eye to the nasal passages, which may drain into buccal bits. Hm.

I believe it's called the nasolacrimal duct and stuff will drain from the lacrimal punctum...I think...lol.
